Hi, I’m Amy McComb, and I’m also known as “the good grief girl.” I love being out in nature, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin, practicing yoga, and SPF. I’m also the proud mother of two teenagers. I’m not a social worker or a counselor, but I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist.
My goal is to help people heal from life’s losses.
Giving individuals permission to take time to pause, reflect, and take action towards healing. I’ve personally experienced the pain of grief when I lost my mother at 56 years old. It was then followed by the loss of my baby just three months later in 2004. Over the years, I’ve accumulated more losses, including the death of my father and grandmother. I then had the closure of my brick-and-mortar business, and most recently navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
These experiences led me to pursue my Grief Recovery Specialist training in 2021. I offer in-person and online One on One and Group Support for Grief Recovery in Southwestern Ontario. This includes Brantford, Brant County, Paris, Woodstock, and the surrounding area. My approach is focused on helping individuals connect back to themselves and find healing through the Grief Recovery Method.
